Inpatient Acute Care

Inpatient Acute Care for Children

Our children’s inpatient behavioral health services provide the intensive acute care for mental health necessary for healthy growth and development for children. The program is designed to provide a consistent and nurturing environment that produces positive change to meet the needs of children with emotional and behavioral concerns.

The children’s behavioral therapy program also includes:

  • A program promoting individual recovery goals and progress towards wellness
    • Every child is different, and so are their goals. We know this, and take that into account with our children treatment programs in order to guide them towards success
  • Individual and parent involvement in discharge planning directed toward ongoing recovery
    • As a parent, your involvement matters, especially after inpatient treatment ends. You will be responsible for making sure your child continues the path to a happier, healthier life when they leave, and we provide help and resources to make sure you know what the next steps are.

All children’s behavioral health programs are led by our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists and other clinicians and include the following services:

24-hour supervision by licensed nurses and physicians

  • Initial assessment and evaluation of emotional, intellectual, social and physical needs
    • Our assessment will help to determine what types of treatment are necessary and whether or not your child is a good fit for our facility
  • Strength-based approach during assessment and treatment
    • Working off of your child’s strengths to find what type of treatment would be best is essential
  • Individual, group and family therapy service
    • Each type of therapy is beneficial in its own way, and our well-rounded approach of including each type can be extremely beneficial
